Charcoal Activated Deli Dough Pizza Capricciosa-Vegetariana
INGREDIENTS
1 ball Activated Charcoal Deli Dough
2-3 tbsp tomato pizza sauce
Large handful grated mozzarella
1 small courgette, thinly sliced into rounds or strips with a peeler
5-6 artichoke heart quarters (from jar of marinated)
7-8 pieces of chargrilled pepper (from jar of marinated)
5-6 black olives and pitted halved
1/2 ball fresh Buffalo mozzarella, torn into rough chunks
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 250ºC.
- For best results hand stretch (rather than roll out) the Activated Charcoal Deli Dough into a 12” pizza round. (See our videos for top tips and hand stretching instructions!) Preheat a heavy baking tray or pizza stone, then flour and lay pizza base out. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the dough is just starting to rise.
- Bring the pizza base out of the oven, spread the tomato sauce over the base and sprinkle over half of the grated mozzarella.
- Top with the courgette, artichoke hearts, chargrilled peppers, olives and remaining mozzarella.
- Place the Pizza into the oven without the baking tray, placing the pizza directly onto the oven shelf allowing the base to cook thoroughly and for crispier crusts.
- Cook for 7-8 minutes.
- Serve with torn Buffalo mozzarella and fresh black pepper.
