Sour Dough Deli Dough Pizza Ortolana
INGREDIENTS
1 ball of Sour dough DeliDough
2-3 tbsp tomato pizza sauce
2 handfuls grated mozzarella
5-6 artichoke heart quarters (from a jar)
7-8 cherry tomatoes, halved
4-5 green olives, pitted and halved
1/2 ball fresh Buffalo mozzarella, torn into rough chunks
1/2 tbsp fresh pesto
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven 250ºC.
- For best results hand stretch (rather than roll out) the Sour Dough Deli Dough into a 12” pizza round. (See our videos for top tips and hand stretching instructions!) Pre heat a heavy baking tray or pizza stone, then flour and lay pizza base out. Cook for 3 minutes until the dough is just starting to rise.
- Bring the pizza base out of the oven, spread the tomato sauce over the base and sprinkle over with the grated mozzarella.
- Top with the artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, olives and the remaining grated mozzarella.
- Place the Pizza into the oven without the baking tray, placing the pizza directly onto the oven shelf allowing the base to cook thoroughly and for crispier crusts.
- Cook for 8 minutes.
- Serve with torn fresh Buffalo mozzarella and a drizzle of fresh pesto.
